Voiceover & TV Production

My skills as a voice talent and audio producer got better the longer I worked in the radio business. Here are a couple of spots (i.e., commercials) I think are really quite good.

After all the years of coming up with character voices, I finally put together a voice demo that showcases some of them.

On the Las Positas/Chabot college spot, I was asked to come up with a creative way to get people to enroll in the colleges. So, I decided to focus on professions and where the people who are now established got their start.

I love doing character voices. I’ve been doing them since I was a kid, but when I worked in radio, every now and then there was a client who wanted a spot that was creative. That was Victoria’s Hair On Stage, a hair salon by day, a cabaret-sytle theatre by night type of business. Whenever they would do a commercial buy, they would almost ask for me to write or voice one of their spots — which I was always happy to do.

In 2012-2013, I wrote, directed, and edited a TV show that was on KOFY TV 20 called “Fresh From The Farmers Market.” We didn’t have a large budget, but what we lacked in crew and equipment, I made up for in content. The host, Jennifer Schumacher, was a total pro and great to work with. We worked well together and I thought, all thing’s considered, the show turned out to be quite good. Here’s the “Best of” show that ran at the end of 2012, and the promo that ran on TV 20

This is a spot I voiced and produced for Center Rep in Walnut Creek. They liked it so much they used it for a regional ad buy in the San Francisco Bay Area radio market.

One of the first spots I produced using a character voice — which was this kind of ski/surfer accent. Ken’s Bike and Ski is in Davis, CA, and the feedback I got on the spot (which I also produced) was extremely positive.
